Nu skool breaks in the Tipper kind of way, a style that for some reason is rarely executed in the excellent way that Tipper can. Nymate Association can join Tipper in these ranks. Excellently executed, two real killer tracks.

I guess this album by The Kirby is best described as melodic, emotional electronica pop. Accessible, with a lot of variation in sound, ranging from beautiful ambientesque sounds to a bit more uptempo melodic electronica, this release will appeal to lovers of (melodic) IDM, electronica, downtempo and ambient.
Due out very very soon now is this release by Dirty Fire Project. Let’s call it dirty downtempo/electronica with a groovy edge. Only Examination stands out in style, giving it a slightly more aggressive feeling. Funny enough, my attention for this release was mainly triggered by the last track, NeverBeenToTokyo. That track is simply so amazing, even if the rest of the release had sounded like Britney Spears, I’d still given it a 4-star rating! Luckily, the rest of the release also sounds incredible, so this is a big fat recommendation to go download this release as soon as it is available!!!!
Minimal with a swing. Definitely some interesting tunes to check out. Function One is definitely the best one, very nice atmosphere on that one with some acid influences.
Pleasant listening material from Thinner, but as is common at Thinner, not something really really special. Still, it’s a soothing release which will work in getting you a bit more relaxed when you’re feeling stressed.
Orange crush comes in somewhere between Phasic and Boards of Canada. Very nice emotional electronica. I miss a distinct own sound though, let’s just say this music is very inspired by music already outthere. A good goal for the future then, and even with the lack of a distinct sound, it’s still very nice and entertaining music.
The Cheese Detective Agency remixes three tracks by Beluga native Electric Puha. But don’t be fooled by the cheese, the music is far from cheesy. Excellent nu-skool breaks, especially in USA Who Are You? Think Tipper with more soul. Awesome!

Now *this* is what Sascha Müller is good at. Techno as it is supposed to be. Dark and brooding. Yet with Time Lock, Sascha is able to go downtempo without losing character and style. On Time Lock release, Sascha sounds like a darker version of Plastikman! Very interesting. Where Testpress was a bit more laidback in a dark sense, on Chamber Sascha gives us his old style: dark, fast, brooding techno. And on Extreme, this continues nicely, with great vocal samples.
Another failed attempt by Sascha Müller at widening his style from that which he is good at: banging techno. This attempt brings us three quite boring ambient tracks in which we just get some strings. I think Sascha should just stick with his techno.
After the initial release by label founder Xyn, it is now time for a compilation that will set the tone for the whole label. The title of the compilation already says it all: Statement of Purpose. The music varies wildly from IDM through Drum ‘n’ Bass to Electro-ish sounds. An excellent, though quite long, compilation with it’s 26 tracks.
