ALREADY REVIEWED ON NET.ELECTRONICMUSICWORLD.COM
Originally the four tracks on “The Thin Girl” derive from a live set which Joerg used to play as Sensual Physics. These tracks conjure up memories or moments that link to infinitesimal frozen slices of time, created to last indefinitely. Being influenced by the time being, these four parts of the original live set have been rejuvenated and renewed. In re-recording each piece, Joerg carves out the essence of the original track and builds on that.

08.03.2007 [THN092] Christian Dittmann – Emporio
>> >> FILE UNDER: Elusive Organic Minimalism
http://www.thinner.cc/releases.php?r=thn092
Beyond the obvious musical influences of techno and dub, the elements of “Emporio” are of two kinds. The first ingredient is explicit and definable whereas the second is intrinsic, almost mystical – rooted in the experiences and emotions of it’s creator – and only revealed in a minimal way.

08.03.2007 [THN090] VA – Demo Tracks
>> >> FILE UNDER: Raw & Dirty Demo Takes
http://www.thinner.cc/releases.php?r=thn091
Compilations tend to be wrapped within a theme. This compilation
deliberately does it without an artificial title, as these are raw and
‘dirty’ takes of functional techdub grids and patterns. Most productions have been hiding in our sheleves for quite a while, so this release is a reminiscence to the classic thinner sound, predominantely dubbed out until mid 2005.

05.01.2007 [APL041] Klotzsch & Sudermann – Holzlaub
>> >> FILE UNDER: Electroacoustic Metaimprovisations
http://www.thinner.cc/releases.php?r=apl041
Symbolic of the organic atmosphere emerging from these recordings, the album title “Holzlaub” translated literally means “Wooden Leaves”, and the song titles themselves are the Latin names of trees which had bloomed as the songs were being created. At its core, “Holzlaub” is a blend of sampled classical-style guitar sounds (and other chance noises) as improvised by Raimund along with the deliberate sharing and processing of these samples via synchronized PowerBooks where intuition and feelings were important ingredients. In addition, the congenial atmosphere of Raimund’s apartment in
which most of these songs were conceived and took their final form, is sure to have contributed to the organic ambiance that is clearly prevalent.
